The estate is farmed environmentally and provides year round interest for painters and photographers.
For botanists and bird watchers, there is the advantage
of the varied habitats:- heather moorland, rocky coastline, woodlands and reedbed marshes and lochs, all containing many rare species.
We have a small fold of Highland cattle who roam the 'empty quarter', an extensive area across the estuary which also contains the prettiest loch on the Island.
